    Texture Finishes and Design

    Rose Wilde

I developed the Wood Icing® Product Line in 2002 as “the great cover up” for resurfacing furniture, walls, crafts and small decor. Artists in turn, found the product perfect for adding texture and creating raised reliefs. After years of working with the product, offering workshops and working with other artists, I found the options for using Wood Icing® went way beyond my initial concept. Today, the product is used in a variety of ways through furniture repair and enhancement to mixed media art. I enjoy introducing Wood Icing® workshops to beginners and experienced artists and hope you’ll join me in creating some one of a kind, textured finishes in my online workshops. I am excited to see what my students create and look forward to inspiring you with this exciting medium.

  • What if I’m not an artist?

No problem! Anyone can learn this skill.

  • Where can I get all the supplies?

Our workshops include a detailed list of supplies and resources so you won't have any trouble finding supplies. Most can be ordered online and delivered right to your door.

  • How long will it take to create a finished piece?

The individual steps themselves do not take long but there are several steps in the drying process. Expect to finish the piece over two to three days.

  • What is the number one thing you would recommend for this workshop?

Wipe off any excess Wood Icing® while it's still wet. This is much easier than trying to sand it off after it dries.

  • What if I need help?

Once you register for a workshop, you will be invited to a private Facebook page for students, where we offer trouble shooting solutions and support. You can also email us at
